We are a voluntary secondary school, under the sole patronage of Educate Together,

Our Vision

Goatstown Educate Together Secondary School is an equality-based, democratically run, inclusive and student-centred community of life-long learners which is underpinned by positive relationships. We value, encourage and reward kindness, effort, and creativity. We support and challenge students to develop the ability to persevere and to learn the value of working hard. Our community encourages students to develop critical thinking skills.

We prepare students for responsible global citizenship and help them to contribute to sustainable development and to challenge social injustice.  Our aim is to be an exceptional school which values highly effective teaching and learning. Our school places great store in a positive partnership between home, school and the wider community ensuring that we can be alert and responsive to the changing needs of our students.

Compass

Compass is our new school administration system. You can view your child’s timetable and school reports and make online payments. It will also be our main way of communicating with families in the school, keeping you informed of events and school announcements. It also allows parents to communicate with us about lates and absences as well as to download school reports and to give notice of a child leaving early from school.

School Library

The school library offers an increasing range of fiction and non-fiction items to read in school or to borrow to read at home. You can browse our current collection or log in to book a title to borrow by clicking on the button below. You can also contact bcody@goatstownetss.ie for further details.

Welcome to Goatstown ETSS.

We opened in August 2020 in Churchtown, and moved to our permanent site, on what was formerly the Irish Glass Bottle Recreation (IGBR), site in August 2024. Planning for construction of a permanent 1,000 pupil school is at an advanced stage. Our focus in Goatstown ETSS is on outstanding learning and teaching in an equality-based environment.

I am proud to lead this school and to be able to commit to the kind of education which many parents in our area want for their children. We are committed to helping your child to discover 'their best self'. We have created a calm and industrious environment rooted in academic, musical, sporting and artistic pursuits. Our school welcomes all children.

Jonathan Browner, Principal
